Great Room and Dining Area
Upon stepping inside the house – we immediately see through to the forest beyond on the opposite wall. The ceilings are 10 ft. high with oversized picture windows looking out to the woods and bringing the beauty of the surrounding landscape into the Great room. ¾ inch birch flooring continues through the main living area, hallway and bedrooms. Solid maple doors 8 feet high, gorgeous maple baseboards and trim are evident. A double sided granite woodburning fireplace allows the beauty of the wood fire to be shared by both the living room and the master bedroom. As the forest provides free wood for fuel, it is both sustainable and cost effective for heating. There is nothing more comforting that the crackling sounds and radiant heat of a wood fire on a wintry day. The Great room area is open concept and a 3 sided bump out with tinted double glazed windows is the perfect spot for a large dining table which would give you the illusion of eating outdoors in all 4 seasons. From the Great Room we step out onto the 25 foot long pressure treated deck with tempered glass to allow the view of the forest unobstructed.
